Why We Raise Idaho Pasture Pigs

At Oak Creek Family Farm, sustainability and ethical animal care are at the heart of our mission. Our Idaho Pasture Pigs (IPPs) fit perfectly into our vision for a harmonious farm, providing nutrient-dense meat while supporting the health and fertility of our land. Unlike conventional methods, we raise our pigs with a deep respect for their natural behaviors, allowing them to roam freely, root, and forage in a way that benefits both them and the land.

Each pig enjoys a diverse and balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, proteins, and essential nutrients that support optimal health and growth. This carefully curated diet ensures that our pigs not only produce high-quality, flavorful meat but also live active, vibrant lives. To support this, they’re given ample space to roam in fresh pastures that allow them to graze and root to their heart’s content. We utilize a rotational grazing system with multiple pastures, giving the land time to regenerate between grazing sessions while also providing the pigs with new, nutrient-rich forage.

We’re excited to offer pork shares for sale this February! This is your chance to bring home pasture-raised pork that’s raised with care and rooted in our commitment to sustainable farming. Each share includes a variety of cuts, from tender chops and flavorful sausages to richly marbled roasts, perfect for any meal or special occasion.

Shares are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and with limited availability, we encourage early reservations. Our pork shares are processed with attention to quality, bringing you cuts that are delicious, healthy, and responsibly raised.
